Peaches and cream card kit

I made up another card kit for Picture This. The cards kits that we have for sale are varied and usually limited to 5 kits. I usually make up card kits fitting for men because they seem to be in high demand, but this time I made one with these pretty peachy papers more appropriate for women,

I used a lot of my favorited dies and absolutely had to make some flowers, I think the Cheery Lynn flower dies are just the best!! Quick and easy way to up the look of your cards!

Like making cards but don't have a lot of time? Stop into Picture This today to see our entire selection of card kits!

Spellbinders Contemporary Circles

Spellbinders has come out with some really neat dies recently, really stepped up their game!
Like with this circles die. Swooshes and circles and so fun to work with!
I worked up these cards using a sheet of white cardstock, a sheet of sour apple green cardstock and a bright pink cardstock. Quick, easy and oh so much fun!! I can't decide which color combination I want to work with next!

I cut my green cardstock to fit the front of an A2 card, then cut the die out from near the center. (that is the green die used in the card below) Then I cut out the die in pink. I placed the green carstock on the front of the white card and then matched up the pink die. I used some of the spaces from the green die to fill in the swooshes. I then cut the green circle with the die that comes with that goes in the center. I stamped in the corner and added some bling!

For this one I used the green cut out from above and placed it on the white cardstock. I added the cutouts from the above pink diecut. Cut a white circle and popped it out. I then cut an additionl green circle and stamped it, adding bling. I cut a strip of pink paper and attached it to the card. The green circle was then added and popped up.

So many ways to make this die into cards!

Christmas in June?

The weather has been all over this place this spring, but with summer on the way (and some days already in the 80's) I had to cool off a little bit and working on some Christmas projects sure put me in a cooler frame of mind!

I used the pattern on the papers back to make the photo squares and mounted them on brown card stock.
We have lots of snow flake dies at the store and Leann cut me some out of white to use on this page.  I cut some custom birds on our Pazzle (commercial die cutting system) out of brown cardstock and added them to the page as well. Very simple pages with beautiful patterned paper!

Even though I want to cool down, I'm not quite ready to go sledding yet!! Winter can wait until December!

Spellbinders Palm Tree, Dylusions and more!

I purchased this die awhile back but haven't had the time to really play around with it. I really love all things palm trees. They would be my next favorite thing after flamingos! (I've got a couple of those dies and need to work into some cards too....watch for the blog on them!!)
For this first card I had to create a background. I got out my Dylusions ink sprays and went to town!!
I cut a piece of white cardstock just large enough to fit under my oval cutout. I used Dylusions colors Pure Sunshine and Pomegranate Seed. I first sprayed the Sunshine at the top of the cardstock. Then I sprayed the Pomegranate at the bottom, overlapping the two colors. I went back and sprayed with the Sunshine again over the entire thing, then I blotted with a paper towel to get the effect I wanted. You need to make sure your area is covered by a mat and some paper....there will be some overspray!

I set the background aside to dry. It will curl a little if it's not dry all the way. While that was drying, I cut black cardstock to make an A2 card and folded in half. Then I cut a piece of black paper
5 1/2 "x 4 1/4 " and then cut out an oval from the center using the Spellbinders Nestabilities ovals. I made sure it was big enough to see the palm tree through. Then I cut the palm tree out of the oval I had cut out to save paper.
Once background was dry, I attached it to the front of the card then using pop dots I popped out the black piece of paper over the top. Lastly I added the black palm tree.
I simply LOVE how this card turned out!!

Here is another card I made with the palm tree die. Pretty simple. I used Spellbinders oval, Spellbinders circle and the palm tree dies.

I'm wishing I would have used a swirl or other fun embossing folder on the darker blue paper to make the water really stand out. And maybe added a cloud to the sky. So many more options to step up this simple card!!

I hope these cards make you fall in love with the Spellbinders Palm Tree die as much as I am!

Authentique Stars

In honor of our recent holiday, Memorial Day, I quickly made these two pages using Authentique paper. This distressed looking polka dot paper seemed the perfect thing to use. I just love the texture of the Authentique papers, don't you?

This is the left page. I used the Spellbinders star dies to accent this page. I distressed them with a bisque versa ink square. I used Burgundy twine to accent the areas where you would journal or put your photos.

This is the right side page. I used the same dies and accents o this page. There is plenty of room to put  your photos and journaling!

This page set is perfect for little boys or patriotic holidays!

Susan Louise Paper Pics Card Kit

The great thing about card kits is that all the work is already done for you. You can purchase them and follow the directions and in no time have 4 cards ready to go! I chose to use these 4 Susan Louise paper pics in the latest card kit that I designed for the store.

I also used lots of dies!! Spellbinders labels dies, Spellbinders Nestabilities circle dies, Spellbinders Star die, MFT scalloped die, Memory Box tag die, Memory Box star circle border die, Memory Box Open Studio pierced scalloped circle die, Taylored Expression Star Border die and the MFT Flag tail banner die.
I used Copic Markers to embellish 2 of the paper pic images.

Graphic 45

When I saw this Graphic 45 paper I just KNEW I had to make it into something with doilies! This page totally reminds me of grandma and blue dishes and just puts a smile on my face!!

Cheery Lynn doily dies are used here. I chose to use cream paper as well as a country blue and a darker blue to give it some contrast.
These doilies are my favorite to date! Perfect size for pages and cards. I've gotten a lot of use out of these dies!
I also used the Daisy die by Cheery Lynn and the 3 leaf die by Cheery Lynn. Candi dots were used in the center of the flowers. A dot embossing folder by Darice was also used to create this page.

Pretty little flowers

This is another card kit I designed for Picture This. Lots of flower love in this card kit!
A variety of Cheery Lynn flower dies were used to create these cards as well as the Spellbinders Nestabilities circles and scalloped circles. A Martha Stewart twig punch was used as well as her Butterfly punch. The lacy butterfly is a set of 3 by Cheery Lynn. Lots of Candi dots, pearls and gems are used to embellish these cards.
I think there are a few of these left for sale at Picture This!

CC Design Stamps Lil Chickie

I'm not sure if 'Lil Chickie' is the real name of this stamp, but it's what I call this adorable girl!! She looks simply sweet feeding her little chicks!

I colored her up in the greens and peaches that are so HOT this season....very bright and reminds me of sherbert! I accented this card with some new ribbon we have a Picture This as well as flowers cut from the Cheery Lynn Shasta Daisy die.

C C Designs Elf Stamp

Some people may think she looks like a fairy but CC Designs calls this sweet girl an elf. Either way, she is so cute!!

I colored up with purples and teals and think she turned out adorable!! The stamped verse is by Tim Holtz. Flowers are the 'waste' from the Cheery Lynn doily die that I used. Butterfly is a punch by Martha Stewart. Hard to see in this picture but I used Wink of Stella clear brush to sparkle up her hair and wings!

I embellished the colored image with dies by Cheery Lynn and some pretty ribbon!

For the love of music

Every day we do custom cuts with our die cut machine. This page for sale is made with one of our in stock music scale dies, but cut with gold POW glitter paper instead of basic cardstock.  The words are custom cut just for this page and a great example of the types of items we can do for you! I made the flower with the Cheery Lynn sunflower die.

Many of our customers have us do titles for the pages they are working on.
