Bring on some Sun!!

Don't you need a little bit of sunshine with all these cold days we've been having? Something to brighten up the mood and chase away those winter blues. How about a glass of lemonade?

This is one of the cutest dies that I've ever used! I love that there is a citrus wedge and a slice and that you can layer and do so much with this entire set. So many possibilities with the mason mug alone!

And isn't the paper just yummy too? I am generally not a fan of chevron, but I love the color combinations in this paper!! Reminds me of our cruise the the Carribean that we took a million years ago when we first got married. Ah....so relaxing!!

Simply Distressed

Creating doesn't need to take a lot of time. I made up this page in just a few minutes the other day. Okay, it was like 15 minutes, but my point is that sometimes simple is just what you need.

This patterned paper was just the thing for a quick page. It already has character with the stripped top, the wide hounds tooth strip in the center and the solid bottom.

I took a sanding block and sanded the edges of the paper all the way around to give it a distressed look. I even let it tear slightly in a few places to add to the look. I used coordinating papers for the photo mounting squares. The flowers are a die by Cheery Lynn and the title was custom cut at Picture This to finish off the page. I love the clean look of this page but still feel it has character!

Cheery Lynn Daisy Love~

 I've been working a lot on scrapbook pages in between creating for my card classes. Found this adorable Valentine's Paper at Picture This and just had to make a page with it!! I am in love with the peaches and pinks together! I added brown to set it off. Don't you just love pinks and browns together??

The Love title is a die cut made at the store. I used Cheery Lynn Daisy strip die to make the flowers and put Candi dots in the center. Flourish is also by Cheery Lynn.

Christmas revisted

Just because Christmas is over doesn't mean we can't still work on Christmas cards. You can never have enough done up. This was a card class I did at the beginning of December using Great Impressions stamps and Wink of Stell glitter pens and brushes.

Reindeer card has a stamped and embossed background and I used dies by Impression Obsession. Deer is stamped and fussy cut out then popped up. The frame is also popped up.

Gracie card is colored with Copic markers, embellished with Impression Obsession snowflakes and made to sparkle with Wink of Stella and Stickles.

Poinsettia card is colored with Copic markers and made to sparkle with lots of colored Wink of Stella pens. Finished off with Candi dots and sprig dies by Cheery Lynn.


Stamp a bunch of these images up and color away while your watching your favorite TV show during this cold January and you'll be ahead of the game in the fall when you start putting together your cards! Happy stamping!!

I ate it!

Okay, so I didn't really eat it. But that bird just had to go. No one should be telling our ages....isn't that right ladies? So all joking aside, how can you NOT fall in love with this Penny Black stamp? It is so darn cute! I'm guessing you are going to see this all over the blogs and Pinterest this year. There will be no shortage of ideas for using this stamp. Everyone I know of is falling in love with it and we are getting requests for it like crazy at the store!

This sweet kitty was SO fun to color! I can't get enough. I've already used it for several birthdays already in the last couple of months. This is another of those cards that you leave simple so that stamp can speak for itself! I had to add this adorable ribbon though....It really made me think of spring and lately I need to think of warmer weather and brighter days!

Cupcake? What Cupcake?

My middle daughter LOVES cupcakes. I mean, she is totally obsessed with them. So when I saw this stamp I just knew I had to make it up into a birthday card for her 17th birthday at the end of the month. I used bright pinks and turquoises as those are her favorites right now.

Background paper is a Christmas/winter paper that I thought went well for a January birthday....with those snowflakes and such a bright color! Simply scrumptious!
This stamp is by Stamping Bella (adorable stamps to choose from and such a pretty blue colored cling!) Colored with Copics and embellished with Stickles.I kept this card simple to let the stamped image really shine!

Hedgehog Love!

This Great Impressions stamp Harry with Flowers seemed like the perfect stamp for a birthday or Valentine's card. I used the Darice Wire Fence embossing folder to spice up the plain pink cardstock card base. Then used a Cheery Lynn Doily die to cut this beautiful white doily to add a touch of romance to this card. A darker pink accent for the mounts. I also used this gorgeous diamond holographic metallic cardstock to add a little sparkle and interest to this card. Inked around the edges of the stamped image with Versa Color and finished it off with a burgundy twine bow. Flowers have a little Stickles to make them sparkle!

Harry is sure gonna help surprise some lucky person with this sweetly romantic card!
