Die-versions "Sweet Petites" Flamingo

With my love of all things Flamingo I just had to  make a card with my latest aquired flamingo die!
This time I wanted to make something a little more silhouetted.

I used Dylusions spray inks to make a background by spraying lightly onto a piece of white cardstock. Then I blotted with a paper towel to get this effect. The oval was cut with Spellbinders Nestabilites ovals. The flower is Cheery Lynn Judy's Blooms die.

Simple Life Scrapbook Kit

I made this page using the Simple Life Scrapbook kit that was on sale for National Scrapbooking day at Picture This. I used coordinating card stock to make the embellishments.
Banners are MFT Fishtail Banners with the holes punched with a Crop-a-dile. Flowers are Cheery Lynn Judy's Blooms, Daisy and Shasta Daisy Dies. I used the MFT Stiched scallop die to make the aqua border and a EK Tools punch to make the border on the flower paper. Candi dots and gems are used in the center of the flowers. I used twine to string together the banners. I placed a sticker from the kit under the left photo area.

I think there are still some of the scrapbook kits left at Picture This. I like this page so much I'm going to buy another one!

Christmas in July?

We were talking the other day about doing a Christmas in July event. As a result of our conversation I made up these cards using dies that I personally own. I love these IO puppy and kitty die sets!

Other dies used were Memory Box tree, Memory Box window die, IO trio of deer die (used large deer) and I also used the Martha Stewart twig punch to do the swag, but you could also use the Memory Box twig die!

Pink Flamingos by My Favorite Things!!

Those that know me know that I LOVE Flamingos! I'm a huge flamingo nut! Flamingo paper, flamingo embossing folder, flamingo dies. Yes, DIES, with an S!! As in multiple. Flamingo stamps. Flamingos are, simply put, an obsession!!

For this card I used the Spellbinders Nestabilites circles, the Memory Box stitched circle, Spellbinders border die, MFT Fishtail banner die, and MFT Flamingo die, floral embossing folder and pink gems.

This was my first Flamingo die.
Since I purchased this die, I have since bought flamingo dies by Cottage Cutz and Die-versions. More to come using those dies!

Scrapbook page just for Dad!!

Nothing is more special to little girls as their daddies! This was my first Father's Day without my Dad and I spent it going through old photos and reliving memories. I created this page in celebration of my daddy!

Arrows and Dad title were custom cut at Picture This. I used the MFT Fishtail Banner dies and this wonderful 2 sided paper. (My dad's favorite color was blue and mine's green so this worked perfect!!)
Now for me to find just the right pictures to add!

Cascading Mother's Day card

I'm a little behind on posting things to my blog. Okay, perhaps a lot behind. It's only July and Mother's Day was in May. Not too far behind. (Sheepish grin)
I made this card and matching A2 clear card box for a Mother's Day Card class.
This is my most favorite card I've made to date. I just love it!

Here is a picture of the card in the card box. Snug as a bug in a rug!

For this card I used an Eggplant colored cardstock for the base and used a coordinating floral paper. Then cut out Cheery Lynn flowers in matching card stock. I punched out leaves with the Marha Stewart punch in 2 different colors of green. I used Bubble gems for the centers of the flowers.

Here is the card opened up and the card box.
What better way to say Happy Mother's Day?

Exploding box card

My nephew Adam's little boy was baptized a couple of weeks ago. What a wonderful day to celebrate! For his special day, I decided to make an exploding box card. PaperCuts makes a great kit to get you started on your card. All the main pieces (base etc) are in the kit. All you need to do is add your papers and dies and assemble!

For this card I used blue Coordinations card stock, cut to size and embossed with an argyle embossing folder. Then I sanded the embossed to make it pop.
I added coordinating papers to the flaps. I used the deer trio from IO, The tree trio from IO, clouds from Memory Box, hot air balloon from Memory Box, Baptism saying by Cheery Lynn. Acetate strips were used to float the clouds.

You can pick up your box card starter kits at Picture This! What kind of card are you going to make?
