Coneflowers

Working on some card ideas for work. I currently have a view of some pretty coneflowers and daisies off my deck so thought this card was appropriate!

Inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest, I used the Cheery Lynn daisy strip die to make 'coneflowers'. The centers are punched out suns that I shaped with a stylus and glued into the center. I think it turned out cute!! I'm definitely going to have to make more of these cute cards!!

My Besties!!

My Besties Stamps that is!! We just got these cute stamps in at Picture This in the last few weeks.
Here is one that I colored up in two different color combinations.

I loved the green/teal one so much that I decided to fin a couple more My Besties stamps and make a class out of it!

You can take the class in September using different face and hair techniques! Call today to sign up!
These may be my new 'favorite' stamp. At least until we get another new company in :)

August Great Impressions!!

Found paper at work that closely matched what was used on the new GI Stamp of the Month Board and worked up my own versions! Such a great mix of summer and fall! Can't wait to work more with these stamps!

This will be a class on Aug 26! I'm totally loving the chicken stamp! I've got a few more ideas for him running around in my head.

Dozens of Dies!!

Okay, so not DOZENS of dies....but a lot of them!! I made this card a couple weeks ago based off a card that I saw on Pinterest. I loved the way the creator had used tons of ties and layered them to get such a great affect! The person I 'croplifted' from had used all Cheery Lynn dies. I don't have all the dies that she used, but I have a lot of good substitutes for them!! The dies that I used were from Cheery Lynn, Impression Obsession, Spellbinders and Memory Box.

I put this card on display at work to show the many uses of these dies and was promptly asked to do a class with it. Generally I stick to doing classes with stamps and Copics, so a resisted. And resisted.

Took about a week, but I did give in and decide to do a class with this card. I made up another similar card and will do a class with both cards on Sept. 4.

Heavy Metals!

I have been working a lot on the different ways to color metal in the last month or two. Different techniques sure make a stamp more versitile!
I'm doing a class on Aug 21 doing different methods of metals.

These three stamps all have a metal object and each one is colored with a different color combination to achieve different looks.
Come check it out!!

Great Impressions Class!!

I will be teaching how to color and assemble these three coordinating Great Impressions stamped cards on Aug 14! These make great cards to brighten anyone's day!! And you will notice that once again I've used butterflies on my cards. They are so summery!!

And remember the other day when I said to watch for different uses on that Black-eyed Susan flower die? Well....those blue flowers are made by JUST using the center piece!! They sure resemble Mum's to me. Well, if mums were blue!! I'm sure I'll be using them again in this way for future fall projects, but in mum/fall colors! Seriously....the possibilities are endless!

Quick Page

There was only one of this pretty scrapbook paper left on the flower at work. It was lonely! I don't know why people don't want to buy up that last piece of paper?!?! I just had to make it up into a page.
I used the Cheery Lynn Daisy Strip to make the flowers and topped them with a Candi that I inked to match the paper. The flourish is also Cheery Lynn. I LOVE this flourish and use it a lot on my pages and cards. The scalloped design at the top is a border punch by Martha Stewart. The doily is also a Cheery Lynn die. Such great dies they make!

I found several other lonely singles on the floor today. I'll have to grab those up and give them some love! (or you could!!)

Great Impressions Stamps!

I did this card class in July! Two of the cards were off the June 2014 Stamp of the Month board and one from last seasons boards.

It was a fun class and I learned a few things about certain colors not mixing together (but in a good way!!) when I was coloring these images! I stumbled across a perfect way to make aged looking ropes/wood. A new favorite technique of mine. Will be using the technique again in a future class I'm sure.
The Black-eye Susan flower die (used in the swinging bird card) has become one of my favorite new flowers to do up! I have been using them a lot lately, but in different ways! Keep an eye out for it in future posts!

Coloring Fun!

I was in a coloring mood so decided to color up some cute Stamps by Judith. Since fall is my favorite time of year, I decided to do this pretty little fall display.

At this point, it is just colored, but don't be surprised if you see it in a class this fall. We are starting to get new fall papers in at work, so the ideas for this little beauty are floating around in my head!

That is how one of my past card classes came about! I had colored up this Stamp by Judith called Sorry Sam! Isn't he cute?? I just want to give him a hug :)

Coloring him one day turned into this card class I had in July!

Sorry Sam is a little bit larger stamp so I made him into a square card to accommodate his size. He's such a sweetie that you may see him used in a class again!

Tropical

Had just one of these cute acetate sheets left so decided to whip it up into a page. The accents on the sheet reminded me of a past vacation to the Bahamas so decided to try for more of a tropical look!

I used aqua and peach papers to get just the look I wanted! And since butterflies and one of the things that are making it on to so many of my projects, I had to put one on here!

Makes me want to take another trip to the Bahama's.....when it isn't so hot of course!

Musical Monday!!

Ok, so it isn't Monday. You caught me! But I just had to share! This sweet musical die cut by Cheery Lynn is a must!! With my three girls being into all things music I definitely had to have it!! They have even borrowed it to make cards for their musical friends!!

I embossed the background with the sheet music embossing folder, added some pretty ecru lace, popped up the music die and birthday greeting the added some pretty brown spotted Candi's for the final touch. Quick, easy and oh so cute!!
