Joyful Penquin Shaker Card!

Don't you just love shaker cards? They seem to bring out the kid in all of us!

I used a country blue cardstock for the base of this card. I also used it for accents on the card....the scalloped circle (Impression Obsession) and the top fishtail banner (My Favorite Things-Dynamics).

Plaid paper is by Carta Bella. Penguin is a Stamps by Judith, and colored with Copics.

I kept this card simple and just put the sequins in the shaker with a plain cream cardstock backing. Cream was also used for the Joy die (Lawn Fawn) and the bottom fishtail banner (My Favorite Things-Dynamics)

The snowflake came inside the sequin package.

I made this card using the Impression Obsession Snowman and colored it with coordinating Copics.
I added 'coal' to his smile with Copics as well. Icicle die by Impression Obsession. Stitched rectangle and Stitched Circle dies by Memory Box Open Studio. The background of the snowman was inked with Tim Holtz Peacock Feather and Mermaid Lagooon Distress inks. I splattered background with water to get the snowflake effect. Glitter was used inside the shaker. Rhinestones on the outside of the acetate to make it more dimentional. Stickles on the icicles finished off this card.

Dogs Rule!

My dog Boomer would definitely agree that dogs rule the house! I made this scrapbook page with him in mind. Embellished the page with premade flowers, bakers twine and rhinestones. Vellum quote is layers over solid card stock. Photo area is embossed with a Darice embossing folder! I used eyelets in the corners to attach the vellum.

Tim Holtz Crazy Bird -Tree Decorating

If you aren't out shopping all the Black Friday sales, you could be like my family and start decorating your tree! We have an artificial tree due to my allergies so we generally have it up from Black Friday until mid January!

This is the last of my Tim Holtz Crazy Bird Christmas cards. For now, anyway!

I used Natural Felt Cardstock as the card base. A Coordinations Forrest Moss cardstock for layering and for the trees. The tree patterned paper is by Basic Grey.

I used the Crazy Accessories Candy Cane for this card along with the sweet Crazy Bird. (Shhh......He's my favorite!) I hand cut out the bird and candy canes.

The trees are the fir tree trio by Impression Obsession. I used the large tree for my card.

I can't wait to make more of these cards!

Tim Holtz Crazy Bird- Christmas Santa

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope all of you are celebrating your thanks today with family and friends!
I'm getting ready to eat lots of turkey and pumpkin pie in a few hours. Yum!
In the meantime, here is another Christmas card using the Tim Holtz Crazy Birds and Crazy Accessories.

I once again used the Natural Felt cardstock for  my base. I used some text weight metallic paper in a brown to layer my card. The patterned paper is Basic Grey. Snowflakes are also cut from the metallic paper and topped off with a rhinestoone. Greeting is a Stamps by Judith sentiment.
I used both the Santa hat accessory and the bow tie accessory on this card Colored in R46 & R37. Bird was colored in greens (YG) and yellow (Y) I used glossy accents to pop out the eyes on this bird.

Tim Holtz Crazy Birds- Christmas Eve

If you haven't heard about the Tim Holtz Crazy Birds yet, you are missing out! These things are so popular they keep flying off the shelf! And the Accessories that go with them! Super cute!

I made this crazy bird into one who was watching for Santa!

I used a natural felt card base and layered with a true red cardstock.
The black background paper is by Basic Grey. LOVE the writing on this paper!
I then added a tree die by Memory Box. I turned it on it's side to make it a branch.
 Circle is by Spellbinders Nestabilities.
Santa and sleigh is by Cheery Lynn (I cut two of the reindeer off to fit it on my card)
I colored my Crazy Bird with R46, R37, C7 and E57. I colored the Top Hat Accessory with C7 and G06. I fussy cut my bird and hat, but Tim Holtz does have die sets that match each of these stamp sets if that is what you prefer!
I finished off the card by adding Crystal Stickles on hat and branch to resemble snow.

Enjoying Life!

I created this page to go with some tropical pictures that I need to scrapbook. Perfect for those vacation memories! I used Cheery Lynn dies to create the flowers and leaves. The title was custom cut for the dimentions I needed at Picture This.

It's hard to see in this picture, but the blue mats really pick up the blues in the background of the paper!

Spellbinders, Cheery Lynn and more!

Found this really cute patterned paper so worked up a couple of pages with it! I'm really into the teals and aquas etc right now! I layered the photo areas with matching colored cardstock. Embossed the top layer with a Provo Craft embossing folder and then inked it with a coordinating Versa ink. Branch is cut from Spellbinders Cherry Blossom set. Bird is by Cheery Lynn. I inked the bird with a Tim Holtz distress ink.

Hobby House Christmas Topper 3

This is the final card from my card class using the Hobby House Christmas Toppers.
Copic C0 and C1 was used to outline this image as well as the snowflakes on the topper.
The topper was then inked with Tim Holtz Distress ink.  I used snowflake dies by Cheery Lynn that were also distressed with the ink and added rhinestones in the centers. This neat ribbon was the perfect thing to finish off this card!

Cream Luster was used as the card base. A red Metallic text weight paper was used to layer the image. I used this awesome blue plaid paper to complete the total look.

Hobby House Christmas Topper 2

Yesterday I showed you card 1 from my Hobby House Christmas Topper class. This is the second card we made in that class.

I used the same Copic background technique on this card. I also used a green Copic marker that matched the green in my die cut poinsettia (by Cheery Lynn) to color over the leaves in the picture.
I inked the poinsettia petals with matching blue before assembling. I used a red pearl in the center.
Papers are a metallic blue cardstock and polka dots are by Kaiser Craft. Ribbon tied at the bottom finished off this card.

Hobby House Christmas Topper 1

Have you discovered the Hobby House Toppers yet? This is one of the cards that I made using their product. You get six pre-printed images per sheet (2 each of 3 designs) and you can make them quickly into cards. I added a Copic background technique to my cards to spice them up a bit for the holidays! Here is Card #1 from the class I did a couple weeks ago!

The Believe is a die cut by Cheery Lynn. I used coordinating Copics to do the background. Layered the card with metallic red and blue papers and the neat chevron paper is by Kaiser Craft.

My Favorite Things Stictched Flourish

I used the left over pieces from the last purple scrapbook page I made to make this page. I used a solid background and then added a stripe of the pattern paper. Matching ribbon is used to punch up the photo areas.

The stripe is embellished with flowers made from Cheery Lynn dies.....the daisy strip and the shasta daisy strip. I used Cheery Lynn leaf die for the leaves as well as the My Favorite Things Die-namics stictched flourish. Fancy butterfly is by Cheery Lynn. The other butterflies are from the Martha Stewart butterfly punch.

I really like the flow on this page.                                                                                                                                                                 The photo areas are embossed with a Darice argyle embossing folder. Impression Obsession Gingerbread House Card

I bought this really neat Impression Obsessions house die and just had to play around with it a little bit. This was a real quick work up, but it could definitely be made in 'more'.

I cut the house out of brown with the roof, gingerbreading, window and door out of white. I used the Impression Obsession Christmas Icons candy cane to do the candy canes that line the roof. I used Copic markers to draw the swirls on white Candi Dots to make the mints that line the bottom of the house. I finished off the card by using a matching green ribbon on the bottom.

You could add a ton more candy dies around the house if you choose. A gingerbread person would be reallyy cute with this! A nice Christmas stamp would finish it off.

Cheery Lynn Dies scrapbook page

This page was made using the Cheery Lynn buoild a flower die and rose die. The flowers were cut out in burgundy and topped off with a Candi dot. The title was made at Picture This. I had it made custom just for this page (they will do that for anyone!!) The photo area was embossed with an embossing folder by Cuttlebug.

The ribbon added just the right touch to complete this page!
I really enjoy using this apple green and the deep red raspberry cardstock together. Keep a watch out.....you may see them used in a future Christmas page!

Senior Tennis Page

I had the honor of taking John's senior pictures this year so of course I HAD to scrapbook some of them for him! For his photo shoot, John's one request was that we take some pictures at the tennis courts. These pictures were amoung my favorite from our shoot!

Picture This has this amazing tennis racket paper that went perfect with my photos! I layered the photos and added the senior title to the page using the same layering colors. Love how this turned out!

Granddaughter scrapbook page with Prima Flowers

I found this sweet flower paper all by it's lonesome on the sales floor. I am unable to leave these beautiful single papers out there, I just have to make them into something!

This lonely paper became this sweet page dedicated to a granddaughter! I don't have one of those.....yet......but I hope to some day!

I used pink and white twine to accent the side of this page. Prima flowers in pinks and yellow to play off the ones on the paper. The saying is a vellum quote mounted over plain cardstock. Rhinestones finished everything off.

Perfectly Fall!

Leaves are busy turning colors and falling into our yards! My husband has been really busy getting all those leaves bagged up and taken away.

I created this page from scrap pieces I had left over from some other projects! I had the leaves custom cut for me at Picture This in coordinating colors. I inked them and layered them. I centered a button on the leaf patterned paper and added a twine bow on top. Twine was also used on the top of the photo areas to tie it all together. Gems were added to finish off the look.

Summer scrapbook page with Impression Obsession Dies!

With all the unseasonably warm weather we've been having these last few days, I thought I'd do up a summer scrapbook page. Hopefully this will help keep me warm during the snowy times!

The title is a custom title from Picture This (they stock them on the sales floor!!). I used a fence die by Impression Obsession. Grass die by Impression Obsession (I just cut it apart into several pieces!) The bunnies are also by IO. The flowers are by Cheery Lynn. I finished them off with rhinestone accents. I love the way this turned out!
