Oh Deer!

Love spending time at our cabin in the woods. We see lots of wildlife and it is so relaxing. There are tons of deer and other woodland creatures we get to observe in our little slice of heaven. That is why I had to have these dies when came in at the store! Deer 'medallion' is from a set of 3 dies by Taylored Expressions (I'm really loving their stamps and dies!!) and the background trees is Precision Dies by Frantic Stamper. Banners are by MFT. Circles by Spellbinders. Background is embossed with a Darice Clouds embossing folder and inked with white Versa.

You'll see this card in February's Make-N-Take at Picture This. Did you know they have a MNT club for those that can't make it to the store every Thursday? How awesome is that. You can get more information on their website!!  http://www.mmemorieslast.com/

Great Impressions Happy Frog

Happy frog is a from Great Impressions Stamp of the Month board in August of  2012. I love revisiting some of the older stamps, and since we can now get them in cling, I don't feel bad purchasing them because they are so much easier to store! And this little guy is seriously handsome! So many different ways to color him! The saying is by Taylored Expressions. It's another of those punny ones that I get a kick out of!! The ribbon in this picture was custom colored with a Copic Marker to match.
It wont be long and this fellows little friends will start serenading us as they romance the ladies at our little pond!

Owl be!!

Owls are so popular right now, and with the recent owl activity we've had in the neighborhood behind the store, how could I not make a scrapbook page featuring some cute little owls!! Heck, how could I not make TWO!!

The 'You're a Hoot' die cut can be purchased at Picture This. The owls can be custom ordered as well! The branches that the owls are perched on are by Spelllbinders in the Cherry Blossom set.

Photo mats are embossed with a chevron embossing folder by Darice and then inked with Tim Holtz Distress Inks.

Stamping Bella Smarty Cat

I  am really getting tired of this cold weather. Normally I don't mind the snow or cold, but for some reason I have spring fever early this year! April just can't get here soon enough!  I guess I've got a bit of a wait. Good thing this sweet kitty can keep me company!

Background  paper is from Lily Bee Designs. Stitched circle die is from Memory Box 'Open Studio' collection. Regular circle die is by Spellbinders. Colored pearls by Kaiser Craft. Copic Markers were used to color the image.

Below are a sample of other stamps by Stamping Bella!

Stamping Bella Patience

This Stamping Bella stamp reminds me so much of my younger daughter when she was little. Reddish brown hair and she loved to carry the cat around just like this!! The cat, ours was grey and named Muffin, had to have tons of patience as she didn't seem to mind all the love and attention lavished on her! Nothing like the unconditional love of a child!

Paper is American Crafts. Image and words by Stamping Bella. Glossy Accents were used on the baby bottle to make it pop. Copics were used to color the image.

Time of our Lives

I have this thing about red, white and black. I really like the way it looks together. It just seems kind of classy. When I found this paper, this lonely paper (it was the last one of it's kind on the shelf) I just had to make it up into a page and I just knew it had to have red, black and white embellishments. The title is custom cut at Picture This. Red photo areas are embossed with a Darice argyle embossing folder and highlighted with a black background. I added some 2 sided ribbon with a bow to set it off. The reverse of the white is black on this ribbon. LOVE it!! Of course, black Prima flowers were added to give it a little 'Connie' touch. I set pearl accents in the center of each flower.

I can't wait to find other black and white papers I can make similar pages from.

Martha Stewart, Cheery Lynn and Prima Oh my!

I am, and forever will be, a music geek. I have even passed this trait along to my 3 girls. It's simple. We love music. This page was inspired by our love of music, hence the sheet music patterned paper used for the background.

I used a Martha Stewart punch for the border. The G cleft  is a die by Cheery Lynn called 'Whistle a Happy Tune'. The light pink flowers are by Prima with brown pearl accents in the center. The dark pink flowers are a punch by Martha Stewart with white liquid pearls in the center.

I finished it off with a label die stamped with Rejoice.

Prima Flowers and Cheery Lynn Flourish

This colorful paper just screamed to be made into a scrapbook page! What awesome colors in the pattern on the paper and I just happened to find Prima flowers that matched perfectly in my flower stash! I layered the golden yellow flowers with black flowers and then used aqua dot embellishments in the centers.
The magenta card stock layered on the black card stock perfectly set off the background and the flourishes by Cheery Lynn are the perfect finishing touch!

Bring on some Sun!!

Don't you need a little bit of sunshine with all these cold days we've been having? Something to brighten up the mood and chase away those winter blues. How about a glass of lemonade?

This is one of the cutest dies that I've ever used! I love that there is a citrus wedge and a slice and that you can layer and do so much with this entire set. So many possibilities with the mason mug alone!

And isn't the paper just yummy too? I am generally not a fan of chevron, but I love the color combinations in this paper!! Reminds me of our cruise the the Carribean that we took a million years ago when we first got married. Ah....so relaxing!!

Simply Distressed

Creating doesn't need to take a lot of time. I made up this page in just a few minutes the other day. Okay, it was like 15 minutes, but my point is that sometimes simple is just what you need.

This patterned paper was just the thing for a quick page. It already has character with the stripped top, the wide hounds tooth strip in the center and the solid bottom.

I took a sanding block and sanded the edges of the paper all the way around to give it a distressed look. I even let it tear slightly in a few places to add to the look. I used coordinating papers for the photo mounting squares. The flowers are a die by Cheery Lynn and the title was custom cut at Picture This to finish off the page. I love the clean look of this page but still feel it has character!
